Activating, Binding and Reactivating Serial Numbers

Serial numbers can be used to activate certain products in Contrail. This article will guide you through the activation process and explain how serial numbers work with your Contrail account.

Activating Serial Numbers without an Account

If you do not have a Contrail Webshop account, you can still activate your serial numbers. Follow these steps:

• 1. Launch Contrail and navigate to the Home tab in the left list.
• 2. Click on the Activated Products button.
• 3. Select the vendor you purchased the serial number from.
• 4. Enter your serial number in the provided field.
• 5. Click on the Activate button.

Your product will now be activated and available for use in Contrail.

Tying Serial Numbers to a Shop Account

If you connect a shop account to Contrail, all serial numbers activated after that point will be tied to that account. This means that you can access your purchased products from any device where you have logged into your Contrail account.

To connect your shop account to Contrail, follow these steps:

• 1. Launch Contrail and navigate to the Account on the bottom of the left list.
• 2. Select the Webshop you want to login to. For example Contrail Webshop.
• 3. Continue by selecting the Connect button.
• 4. Enter your shop account credentials.
• 5. Click on the Login button.

Your shop account is now connected to Contrail. Any serial numbers activated after this point will be tied to this account. To activate a serial number follow the instructions of article 1. Activating Serial Numbers without an Account.

Re-Activating Products on a New Device

If you need to re-activate your products on a new device, you can simply connect your shop account(s) to Contrail. To connect a shop account, follow the instructions of article 2. Tying Serial Numbers to a Shop Account.

In conclusion, serial numbers can be activated without a Contrail account, but connecting a shop account to Contrail will tie all future activations to that account. When you need to activate your products on a new device, simply connect your shop account(s) to Contrail and all products activated by serial number will activate automatically.
